I loved the curved forms in this scene and the details on the structure itself which the passing eye wouldn't notice. This is a beautiful structure and seeing the mass of water behind it makes you appreciate the amazing strength it has. Viewing the Waitaki Dam from this viewpoint was really something special, and only afforded to me due to the kindness of the station manager agreeing to show me around.  I took four photos on this tour of Waitaki, and I felt very lucky to have been given the opportunity.
