I wanted to create a dreamy feel with the water lapping up to wharf and beach. I noticed that at one particular viewpoint there was a glimpse of light coming through the end of the wharf. I liked the small lack of symmetry in the foreground wharf structure, and it was important to capture the textural quality of the foreground uprights.
