I really liked the sensation of going from dark to light, from shadowed detail to the brightly illuminated powerful textures of the forward-facing aspects of Lion Rock. I also admired, and was determined to capture, the contrast between this sharply seen detail and texture with the softer, more gentle light illuminating the surrounding hillsides.
