I was really drawn to this eroded girder, near the inlet to a marina. The texture was wonderful, crystalline in its quality. There was a mixture of angular lines, curves, layers and textures, with a fantastic palette of tones. The weathered hole going from front to back gave a sense of depth. I was very excited to find this subject, something you might see from afar but not appreciate the textural and tonal wonders it possessed.
